On the other hand I can't seem to get Sound Forge 10 Pro to accept the audio file in Sonar when I choose an audio clip in Sonar's Track View and go to Utilities/Sound Forge. Lastly in Sonar I added that folder to the Plugin Manager and rescanned. That way when I used the jBridger utility it put the VSTs in here rather than overwriting anything in the original folder.īasically I installed Waves, used shell2vst on the waveshell in the Program Files (x86)/VST Plugins folder(created by default by the Waves install), then used the jBridger tool on those created VSTs. I hadn't run Waves in my 8.5, only X1a.to be on the safe side, after I installed Waves I noticed a new folder in the x86 directory- VST Plugins, I used the v8 Waveshell in here with shell2vst rather than the one in the Waves/Waveshells folder. shell2vst is a free utility you can grab on the net and jBridge is only a little over $20.00 USD so I didn't have much to lose. V8 is the first version of Waves for me.a combination of tax return timing and a reduced pricing structure was something I couldn't pass up! Although Waves recommends using their plugins in a 32-bit environment I've read up on how people are using them in 64-bit so I didn't really experiment too much.
